Piper Hinson started her musical career at an early age. She began violin in kindergarten and followed with flute and piano. Piper studied classical violin for 12 years and classical flute for 7. From the day Piper could speak, she was singing. She began her singing career as a classical vocalist. Then in High School, her music director showed her the musical style of Jazz. From then on, Piper immersed herself in vocal jazz, acquiring many awards and accomplishments.
Piper also excelled in academics “I was a big ole’ nerd..still am!”. Piper is a student at the University of Southern California majoring in Music Industry with an emphasis in vocal jazz. While playing in Orchestra at USC, she met friend and music producer Justin Fong. Piper worked with Fong on her first EP “Let Out” and continues to write and record with him “I love working with friends. It’s easy to have fun, and make great music.” Piper has shown some of her talents on MTV’s Making the Band 3 and Score. Currently, Piper keeps busy writing, performing and attending USC. Her song-writings skills, musicianship and musical vision make for a very exciting and promising future. Piper is a creative songwriter who will stand the test of time.
